Low cost ATE equipment

Below are two pictures of recent test equipment designed and built here at Aspire Design. Our aim is to keep the cost of testing products down, which allows there use with smaller production batches. Using our knowledge from Product design we use new low cost techniques to keep ATE costs low. Testrig 1, used for functonal testing of a 15KW diesel generator control board. The main test box simulates the diesel generator to excersize the generator control board. The control board is clamped into place and quick release spring contacts are used to make contact to the board. To keep things simple the test control box is driven from an Excel Spreadsheet which allows simple test scrips to be generated without knowing complex languages. Excel is used to compare the test results with calculated test limits and provides an overall Pass/Fail indication. Again using excel a complete print out of all the test results can be provided. Simple lost cost solution for production testing.

Testrig 2, used in the hardware and software development of an aircraft engine controller. The testrig provides all the simulated loads and the electronics to download code. Connection is made through d-type connectors. Again a simple lowcost solution for product development.
